Veg. Oils usualy use as carrier oils in aromatic compounds made with essential oils.

Hemp oil

Very special Oil made from cannabis seeds which do not contain THC. The oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and particularly omega 6.

This oil encourages intestinal action, eases respitory problems, is used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, M.S., muscular dystrophy and skin diseases. Helps restore mucous tissue and aids in the treatment of damage caused by radiation, chemetherapy and burns. It encourages the regeneration of healthy cells.  Hemp oil has anti-inflamatory properties and extends and improves the quality of life.

Borage Oil
Borage oil
Borage oil is obtained from the seeds of the Borage plant and is a rich source of Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA). This rare substance is found in only a few plants such as Evening Primrose. The average amount of GLA found in Borage is 22% as opposed to 10% GLA in Evening Primrose.
Borage oil has an anti-inflammatory action, and also inhibits the build up of platelets to prevent bood clotting. GLA is a precursor of the hormone Prostoglandine PGE1 which inhibits the release of infected substances secreted by white cells.
Borage oil is effective in cases of auto-immune inflammations, joint inflammations, excema, atopic dermetitis and more.
Sweet Almond Oil One of the most versatile and popular oils used in aromatherapy. It is colourless and odour free with a light smooth texture.Suitable for all skin types. Can be used to restore dry, cracked and neglected skin.
Sesame Oil

Has a rich texture and characteristic smell. This oil is rich in vitamins E and B complex, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorous. Also rich in vegetable protein and lithium. Helps with the release of waste and toxins through the urinary tract and with lowering the level of triglycerides in the blood. In aromatherapy this oil is suitable for the treatment of red, irritated skin, as a base for the treatment of rheumatic pains and, without the addition of essential oils, as a U.V. filter.

Wheat germ Oil Contains Vitamin E and therefore used as an antioxidant. Protects against light and heat and prevents oxidisation. Inhibits wear and tear of the skin caused by exposure to the sun. In aromatherapy helps in the treatment of stretch marks, improvement of blood circulation and the restoration of damaged and infected skin.
Coconut Oil

Saturated vegetable oil that hardens in temperatures of around 20 deg.C.. Has a fairly firm texture and is used as an alternative to parafin. Helps clean and remove grease and dead cells from the skin’s surface.Helpful and recommended as skin protection when sea bathing. Is a vital ingredient in the icecream industry.

Palm Oil Saturated vegetable oil with a firm, gritty texture. Palm oil is rich in vitamin A which encourages regeneration of tissues and helps restore skin that is tired, damaged and neglected. With the addition of essential oils, helps restore afflicted skin on hands and feet of diabetics and sufferers of vascular problems. Brings a feeling of elasticity to the skin’s surface. Recommended for frying food.
Sunflower Oil Polyunsaturated oil with characteristic odour. Contains vitamins A, B complex, D and E. Suitable for people with light, sensitive skin and older people suffering side effects of medications causing excessive dryness of skin.
Macadamia Oil

Unsaturated oil with a fine texture. Rich in palmitoleic fatty acid (C16:1). This is also found in human sebum and so this oil is recommended in treatment of babies and the elderly.The oil is rich in Vitamin A and helps retain natural moisture. In addition it assists the elasticity of the skin by rehabilitation from damage caused by the sun’s rays. Helps lower LDL, and is used as a mild laxative.

Stellaria Oil

Has a very thin, light texture. Suitable for fine, delicate skins. For treatment of skin inflamations, irritations and fungal infections. Good for rehabilitation after burns.

Linseed Oil Is rich in fatty acids. Contains over 55% omega 3 which is an unsaturated fatty acid, 15% omega 6 and  18% omega 9.  It is adsorbative -  attracts and ataches waste deposits on the skin surface.This oil is used in the treatment of  wounds and infections of the skin, and is excellent for the treatment of acne. Helps release toxins from the digestive tract, and fatty deposits in the blood. Is used in the treatment of diabetes, pneumonia and gall stones, and helps restore the skin after burns. Daily intake should not exceed 50grams. Not to be used for frying.
After opening the oil should be stored in a cool place.
Jojoba oil An exceptional oil because it isn’t in fact an oil but a liquid vegetable wax with an oily texture. It inhibits evaporation and protects the skin’s natural moisture. It is a stable oil that doesn’t oxidise. It prevents oxidisation, and doesn’t need the addition of chemicals for stability. Recommendation for treatment:  mix  5%  – 10% jojoba oil with other oils -  if used by itself can cause sensitivity.
Evening Primrose Oil Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, omega 6 and gamma lynoleic acid GLA. Helps in the prevention of blood clotting, reducing high blood pressure and lowering cholesterol. Helps balance hormone levels (as a phyto hormone) estrogen, progesterone and prolactine, moderates emotional outbursts and relieves premenstrual stress (PMS). This oil is an antioxidant and is anti-inflamatory and helpful in the treatment of excema. Improves the quality of life for menopausal women.
Tocopheral – Vitamin E

Antioxidant, prevents the spread of free radicals. Improves blood circulation, helps blood vessels regain elasticity, helps restore tissues.Used to treat wounds and skin infections, dry cracked skin, burns and ulcerated skin.

Shea Butter

This oil has a firm texture. It is made from the shea nut which is found in Africa.  It protects the natural moisture of the skin, makes it softer and more supple. Helps in the treatment of wounds and infections and other skin afflictions such as excema, psoriasis and dry cracked skin. It protects the skin against climatic damage, and speeds up the healing process of wounds. Especially helpful in protecting babies skin against nappy rash.

Olive Oil Has a heavy texture  and contains unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic acid and linoleic acid,  which assist in the breakdown of saturated fatty deposits in the blood.
Olive oil is an important ingredient in nutrition, and  is very common in the Mediterranean. It helps the intestines work smoothly, and strengthens the immune level of the body. It is good in the treatment of excema, fungal and other skin infections.
Inuphylum Kelophylum Oil

A very special oil that comes from Madagascar. For treatment of serious skin infections, burns, sunburns, excema, herpes, psoriasis, vascular problems and allergic conditions.

Carrot Oil Rich in beta carroten, Good for dry skin, encourages vitality, suppleness and elasticity of the skin. Restores tired, worn out skin. The oil helps remove waste, toxins and dead cells from the skin’s surface. Suitable for the treatment of eye infections. It is a tonic, softens scar tissue, eases stinging and itching of the skin and brings relief in cases of psoriasis and excema. This oil is not uses as a base oil by itself, but as an enrichening addition to other vegetable oils. The recommended ratio is 3% only as carrot oil is photosensitive.
Arnica Oil

This oil should not be used on skin that has any open wound or infection!!
Suitable for muscle pains, rheumatic pains, haemotoma, swellings and muscle strain.

Calendula Oil

Has antiseptic properties. Helps restore skin after burns, infections and injuries. Used in treatment of various skin conditions such as: excema, fungal infections, rashes, cracked skin, poor circulation, hyperemia and vascular problems. Helpful in the treatment of vaginal fungal infections. It brightens the skin, prevents scarring and helps keep the skin supple.

Hypericum Oil Contains Hyperycine. Moderates heat and redness, helps maintain coolness of skin. Used in treatment of Hyperemia and damage from radiation. Soothes pain and is good for treatment of strained muscles. Restores colour to pallid skin.
Use up to 3% in solution.
